EXPORTADORA DE PLASTICOS HONDUREÑA, S.A. de C.V. was founded in 1989 in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in order to produce rigid plastic packaging of excellent quality. The operations began in April 1990. Our plant is located in the Amarateca Valley, Department of Francisco Morazán.
We were the first company in the Central American Region to introduce the Injection-Blown process when acquiring a total of 3 North American blow molding machines. This allowed us to differentiate ourselves in the quality of our packaging throughout the Region since for the first time we knew of containers with injected necks, with a very good finish and zero spills. The containers produced in these machines were exclusively in HDPE and we focused at that time more on the pharmaceutical industry as well as the personal care industry. Simultaneously, plastic injectors were acquired for the production of the plastic caps of the respective containers.
In addition, in that same year, we incorporated American screenprinting printers to offer decorated packaging.
